Psycho Cybernetics: MANIFESTO AND DAILY CHECKLIST FOR SUCCESS

MANIFESTO FOR SUCCESS

  1. Choose your self image.
I refuse to define myself by old labels, mistakes, failures, or other people’s opinions.
  2. Set meaningful goals.
I function best when moving toward something worthwhile.
  3. Live forward.
The past provides lessons, not instructions.
  4. Remember evidence of competence.
When facing difficulty, I deliberately recall past successes and the confidence they created.
  5. Use imagination as rehearsal.
I mentally practice the person, behavior, and outcome I want before performing.
  6. Act now.
Thinking is insufficient. Success requires creative action in the present.
  7. Treat failure as feedback.
A failed attempt does not make me a failure. I correct course and continue.
  8. Protect my internal programming.
I question inherited beliefs, assumptions, and self imposed limits.
  9. Practice self acceptance.
I can acknowledge imperfections without surrendering self respect.
  10. Control the controllable.
I forgive others, forgive myself, relax, and redirect attention toward productive action.
  11. Measure myself against myself.
My objective is progress, not comparison.
  12. Turn adversity into movement.
Frustration, uncertainty, stress, and mistakes become inputs for adaptation.

DAILY CHECKLIST

□ What am I trying to accomplish today?

□ Am I acting from confidence or from an old fear?

□ What previous success proves that I can handle this?

□ Am I imagining the outcome I want rather than the outcome I fear?

□ What assumption or self imposed limitation should I challenge?

□ What is the next concrete action?

□ Am I carrying yesterday into today unnecessarily?

□ If something failed, what correction will I make?

□ Am I progressing toward a meaningful goal?

□ Did I act today like the person I intend to become?

Rule:
Remember success. Forget the identity of failure. Correct course. Keep moving.

About the author

Who am I:
No one special. Just another John Smith — the name they give you when they can’t be bothered to know who you really are.
I was raised to be polite, agreeable, and small. It almost worked.

Then I broke. Or maybe I woke.
Turns out “being a good boy” is just training for obedience.
So I unlearned it. Slowly. Painfully. Gloriously.

I’m in the lifelong business of overcoming myself — again and again, until there’s nothing left to conquer but the next version of me.

I don’t do hustle-porn optimism. I do reality.
When I set a goal, time becomes the only variable.
I work hard — sometimes brutal — but always with purpose.
Hard and smart. Always both.

How I got to Nietzsche:
Therapy taught me awareness.
Zen taught me emptiness.
Stoicism taught me endurance.
Adler taught me responsibility.
Nietzsche taught me to dance with fire and call it freedom.

Current belief:
You have agency. Use it.
Comfort is the new cage.
Creation is rebellion.

Favorite mantra:

“Winners are willing to do what losers won’t.”

I just added a line of my own:

“And artists are willing to do what winners can’t imagine.”
